Learn from experts with practical experience conducting accurate surveys

The Institute for Public Opinion and Research (IPOR), a leading, non-partisan, organization specializing in surveys and social science research, today releases key findings from its second pre-election survey conducted between August 14 and 27, 2025.

The issues include on governance, the country's economy, trust in Electoral Processes and their current voting intentions and preferences ahead of the 2025 general elections.

IPOR conducted a dissemination workshop for the National Pre-election Survey today, in Lilongwe. The study was conducted across all districts in Malawi, except Likoma from 6th July to 20th July 2025 asking Malawians their opinion, perceptions and understanding of different issues

The study explores public views on government performance, voter priorities and decision-making, campaign strategies, and the representation of women in politics. The Institute of Public Opinion and Research (IPOR) conducted the survey between December 2024 and January 2025

We are presenting the findings of a nationally representative survey on citizen perceptions, expectations, and concerns regarding the electoral process in the upcoming 2025 general elections in Malawi.

We have started a five-day enumerator training for a midline survey for the SSRLP. The aim of the project is to improve resilience among the poor and vulnerable population. Data will be collected in Dedza, Lilongwe, Nkhotakota, Nkhatabay and Rumphi districts. @C4ED_research

Their legacy lives on

We are conducting a supervisor training in #Lilongwe for a midline survey for the Social Support for Resilient Livelihoods Project (SSRLP). The aim of the training is to pre-test the study tools before the enumerators' training scheduled for next week. @C4ED_research

We undertook a two-day retreat, which offered IPOR employees the opportunity to collectively reflect on achievements and challenges for the past year and chart the way forward for the new year, leveraging on prevailing opportunities.
