New article now live at @SPPQJournal!
Executive ideology is understudied relative to legislative, bc execs only "vote" on a small subset of bills. But @Adam_Bonica's CFscores allow us compare them to other actors in a new way. My focus: US governors. 1/5

Some new work dropping! Here, Chris and I investigate state policy learning using abortion policies from 1993-2016. We build on the diffusion literature related to how states learn from one another, and under what circumstances this occurs. bit.ly/3DTcd3Y

@ProfHansNoel @MPSAnet We use 4 experiments to test the I/E model in whites’ support for education spending. Results show that I&E race cues depress white support for ed funding. Yet, we find no I or E priming. Ideas about when I/E model fails. With @AndreaAManning @afilindra

Important policy diffusion work!
Political Research Quarterly@PRQjournal
In the latest issue @brickaha and @ScottJLaCombe use survey of citizens’ perceptions of other states to develop measure of citizen perceptions of state similarity. This measure is better predictor of diffusion of policies than contiguity. #polisciresearch doi.org/10.1177/106591…

What is a "true" American, and what are their values? We ask Americans in a new national survey. What we find elucidates how partisanship impacts 1st and 2nd Amendment values and more.

@EdwinSantanaVA @OpenAcademics Though I can’t remember if that has it all by district. It’s what pops into my head first for VEP though.
English

@EdwinSantanaVA @OpenAcademics I think this might be useful for you electproject.org
IIRC it has VEP at least back to 2000
English

Political scientists I need your help! I’m looking for a data set that has the turnout percentages for or VEP by congressional district for the 2000, 2002, 2010, and 2012 elections. Can anyone help me out? #phdchat @OpenAcademics
