Israel has closed the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in occupied Jerusalem indefinitely. The 4th‑century site, revered as the place of Jesus’ burial and resurrection, was shut on 28 February 2026 due to what Israel describe as heightened security amid escalating regional tensions and the Israel–Iran conflict. The closure is part of wider Israeli restrictions on major Old City holy sites, including Al‑Aqsa Mosque. Security concerns increased after missile fragments fell a few hundred metres from the church on 12 March. Lenten liturgies and pilgrimages, including the Via Dolorosa, have been halted for the first time in living memory.

Despite immense challenges and ongoing Israeli violations under the so-called ceasefire, Palestinian families still insist on celebrating Eid Al-Fitr. Amid loss and displacement, children wear what they can, families gather with what little remains, and smiles rise defiantly against the weight of grief. For them, Eid is not just a celebration, but an act of survival, a quiet declaration that life, no matter how wounded, continues.

As this Palestinian family gathers around their Ramadan iftar table with a serene view of Al‑Aqsa Mosque, the moment carries both warmth and longing. The scene echoes the spirit of songs like “Our Iftar will be in Jerusalem,” which embody hope despite ongoing Israeli restrictions.

Echoing her final words, “I am scared. Come get me, please,” a British art collective created a massive sand artwork in memory of the Palestinian child Hind Rajab, who was killed by the Israeli army on Scarborough Beach. The large sand portrait was drawn as a tribute to the young girl, whose final moments, recorded as she pleaded for rescue, shocked the world and became a symbol of the suffering of children in the Gaza Strip.

It’s crystal clear now that Trump has lost control of this war. He badly misjudged Iran’s ability to retaliate. The region is on fire. 1/ I’m going to explain to you in this🧵what I’ve learned - in part from closed door briefings - about the four biggest current crises.

Walid Khalidi was the guardian of Palestinian memory. Born in occupied Jerusalem in 1925, he spent a century documenting the Palestinian Nakba and the history of Israel’s occupation. As a co-founder of the Institute for Palestine Studies, he turned the struggle into an undeniable global record. His passing on March 8, 2026, leaves an eternal legacy that ensures the story of Palestine is never forgotten.

GRMA once again to everyone who supported us from across the world during this witch-hunt. It was driven by Zionists, it was executed by Britain and it was defeated hands down in West Belfast. We said we would fight them in their own courts and win. We did. 💚🤍🧡🇵🇸

A missile strike on a primary school in Minab, southern Iran, killed 180 young girls and turned a schoolyard into a mass grave. The attack, carried out during the ongoing military campaign by United States and Israel, struck while students were inside their classrooms, leaving one of the deadliest school massacres of the conflict.

Is the Palestinian flag a "colonial creation"? The truth is found in the Israeli occupation archives and the 1929 headlines of "Filastin" newspaper. This flag wasn’t drawn by a foreign pen; it was forged by the rebels of the 1936 Great Revolt against the British Occupation. These four colors were chosen by the Palestinian people to represent sovereignty and the dream of freedom decades before the Nakba.
