Ultraconservatism and extremism are a danger. Just as the left has a duty to fight fascism, it must also confront religious extremism.
It makes no sense to denounce tradwives or the genocide in Palestine driven by religious-political extremism while, in the name of a false anti-racism, ignoring the fact that Islamists or fanatical evangelicals have no place in a democratic society.
Those who advocate completely open borders or uncontrolled immigration would do well to understand this. Defending progress also means not adding more extremists to a society that already has too many.
And I'm talking above all about parties like the English Greens, who support open borders; LFI, which talks about demographic replacement; or the Spanish left—including my own party—which is the queen of idiocy, filling Spain with extremists, especially evangelical fundamentalists, and even taking pride in it.
