I have no problem with Elversberg or small clubs in general and yes, it’s a beautiful story for them to get promoted. But those big clubs in Bundesliga 2 seriously need to get their act together. It’s no use for the Bundesliga as a product and ultimately the corresponding clubs themselves if you know there is one team that will 99.98% go down again. Happened with Fürth couple years back, Kiel. Heidenheim had that season where they finished 8th, fair enough. But it was the same for them this season as well. And most likely it will happen to Elversberg too. We need the Hannovers, Herthas and Nürnbergs back in the Bundesliga, because they have the potential to stay up long-term and compete.
