IRRPP at UIC retweetledi

Join us and the Institute for Research on Race and Public Policy (@IRRPPUIC on FB) for a conversation about education on February 19th.
Esteemed speakers and activist scholars Dr. Bettina Love and Dr. David Stovall will delve into the intersections of race, education, and justice, exploring how systemic inequities in schooling and housing perpetuate racial harm. Join them as they explore what it takes to envision and create systems rooted in abolitionist teaching, educational reparations, and community-driven justice.
Dr. Love, the celebrated author of Punished for Dreaming, will bring her groundbreaking insights on the failures of school reform and the pathways to healing Black communities through reparative policies. Dr. Stovall will connect his work on Critical Race Theory and the school/prison nexus to tangible strategies for equity and justice in education and housing. Together, they will examine the historical roots of inequality while offering bold, actionable ideas for repairing systemic harm.
The first 100 guests to check-in will receive a FREE signed copy of Dr. Love's book, "Punished for Dreaming."
