Just a friendly notice of our next Highway 20 Speed Enforcement Project which is set for Wednesday, May 14th. As in the past this speed project runs the entire length of Hwy. 20, not just Iowa. Please slow down and obey the speed limits.

The next Hwy. 218 Speed Enforcement Project from St. Paul to St. Louis is set for tomorrow. Be a defensive driver which is driving to save lives, time & money in spite of the conditions around you and the actions of others. Thank you in advance!

April 1-8, the Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau is working with law enforcement statewide to curb distracted driving. In '24, Iowa saw a 70% increase in traffic deaths related to distracted driving. Keep your eyes on the road & off your screen. No One's a GOOD Distracted Driver!

Here are the results from the Highway 20 Speed Enforcement Project held on March 19. April will be Hwy 218 or the Avenue of the Saints. Stay tuned for the date.

Tomorrow's Hwy 20 Speed Enforcement project will proceed as scheduled even though some areas may experience wintery weather. Please slow down, buckle up and keep in mind this project runs the entire length of Hwy 20 from Oregon to Massachusetts.

If you can avoid driving tomorrow, do. If u must drive, use caution. Stopping, starting & acceleration are all affected when the roads are wet or covered with snow, slush & ice. Travel with a full tank of gas & stay in your car if u should enter the ditch or have a crash.

Here are the results from our recent Ave. of the Saints Speed Enforcement Project, which took place on Wednesday, Feb. 19th. I'm pleased to report that we experienced zero crashes, despite challenging weather conditions and below-freezing temperatures. Next month will be Hwy 20.

FYI our first Hwy 218 Speed Enforcement Project for 2025 is scheduled for this upcoming Wednesday. Even though it's going to be a bit chilly this day, we will still be out there. Slow down, buckle up & pay attention.

Here are the results from our first Hwy 20 Speed Project for 2025. February will be Hwy 218. I'll keep you updated on these projects while you should try maintain the speed limit. Speeding is one of the most dangerous behaviors on the road & a leading cause of crashes in Iowa.

The Hwy 20 & 218 Speed Projects will continue this year since they have been so successful in reducing the the number of crashes. These projects will run the entire length of the Highways across the country. Our 1st Hwy 20 Speed Project is 01/15/2025. (Not THAT Radar😉)

August has been designated as Aggressive Driving Enforcement Month. Research indicates that Fridays in August see the highest incidence of vehicle collisions. Daily spikes in speed-related accidents between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. & from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Slow down Iowa!
