I was delighted to attend the ISUOG India Symposium: Making the Uncommon Common, this weekend at The Taj Hotel, Chandigarh. It was a truly excellent meeting that brought together colleagues and experts in maternal–fetal medicine to discuss complex and uncommon conditions in pregnancy, and how advances in ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis can help us manage these cases more effectively in everyday clinical practice. The discussions were insightful, the engagement from the audience was fantastic, and it was inspiring to see such strong collaboration among colleagues from across India and beyond. Meetings like this are vital for sharing knowledge, strengthening networks, and ultimately improving care for women and their babies. My thanks to ISUOG for organising such a wonderful and impactful event. I look forward to continuing these important conversations in the months ahead. #MaternalFetalMedicine #FetalMedicine #Ultrasound #Obstetrics @amritachahal @ISUOG

This #EndometriosisAwarenessMonth, why not have a go at the ISUOG Academy's ATC9 course on Ultrasound findings of endometriosis? ⭐ This advanced training course emphasises transvaginal ultrasound as the first-line, non-invasive imaging modality for the diagnosis and preoperative assessment of endometriosis. ⭐ It provides a practical overview of the IDEA consensus, demonstrating how a standardised, stepwise ultrasound approach improves detection of superficial and deep disease and enhances reproducibility. ⭐ Key sonographic markers, including the sliding sign and pouch of Douglas obliteration, along with targeted assessment of the rectosigmoid, uterosacral ligaments, bladder and ureters are detailed. ⭐ This course highlights how ultrasound findings predict surgical complexity and guide minimally invasive management, supporting multidisciplinary planning and informed patient counselling.
