Reading alone doesn’t make you sharp. You can read junk and still think poorly. And you can read a lot and never question anything.
But yes, the blunt truth is that people who never read end up thinking in cliches. They recycle phrases and opinions or even emotions they picked up elsewhere. Nothing original.
