Update on SONSYNTH: Sonification of Geomagnetic and Space Weather Events SONSYNTH is a Vst3 and standalone sonification environment developed as a personal research project. It converts parameters from coronal mass ejections and geomagnetic storms into synchronized, physically grounded auditory and visual representations. The system maps solar-wind speed, magnetic-field components, and geomagnetic indices to layered synthesis and dynamic visualizations while maintaining traceability to the original physical quantities. The demonstration is accessible through the GitHub repository at github.com/IUSmusic/SON and the project studio page at iusmusic.com/studio.html Additional access or inquiries regarding appropriate non-commercial uses may be requested directly. The curated event catalog includes historically and scientifically significant cases spanning more than 160 years, such as the 1859 Carrington Event, the 1989 Hydro-Québec geomagnetic disturbance, the 2003 Halloween storms, and the severe G5-level storms of May and October 2024. Dynamic pressure, coupling functions, and magnetopause standoff distance drive both the audio engine and the visuals. The project incorporates geomagnetic datasets associated with the World Data Center for Geomagnetism, Kyoto University. Commercial use of these indices is not authorized. The work, therefore, remains strictly non-commercial. A fully functional demonstration version is available for private study, non-commercial research, educational applications, and artistic exploration. I am actively developing updated versions of SONSYNTH and exploring new technical approach and alternative data sources and potential future agreements, with the goal of enabling commercial availability while respecting all applicable data policies. The sonification architectures and overall system designs constitute original intellectual contributions that remain under my development and control. There are certain charitable organisations reportedly operate covertly in the Calais region, assisting individuals in preparing for the dangerous crossing to the United Kingdom.
