Was leaving the ice cream shop here in Naples.
My little boys were amped. Playing on a little seating area. Sugar meltdown.
An old man stood there, watched, smiled.
I was rushing, trying to corral the boys into the car.
Caught his eye when I walked by and he put his hand on my shoulder: “These are the good old days, son.”
He slowly walked inside, alone.

These are the seeds for teams that made the #IHSA boys #basketball sectional final in 2026.
Anybody who thinks this is broken is just mad about not getting an easy path to a regional title. Which I dare say are not what they were in the 2 class playoffs.

I remember watching Jon Scheyer play in high school in Illinois. Best high school basketball player I ever saw play live BUT These are not comparable situations. What Scheyer is doing at Duke is nowhere near as impressive as what Brad Stevens did at Butler. Both fantastic coaches tho.

Virginia and Duke tipping off in 38 minutes. Im trying to tell you all, the Cavaliers are a legit problem. They are on the road at Cameron Indoor, so winning today would be a monumental task, but their 25-3 record is no joke. They will be a problem in #NCAATournament.

Not sure why this was controversial. This is like in football when the game clock is less than the play clock. Why would you snap the ball?

I don’t agree. It’s not archaic. If you manage your timeouts you don’t have this issue.
Or
Call one, get a T, run the risk, but save the clock. Plenty of strategy here.

One hour until tip-off in Gilman for the 1A girls sectional title/Sweet 16 matchup between No. 1-ranked Dee-Mack and Heyworth. The conference foes met on 1/5 with the Chiefs winning 43-33. Both programs only have 1 Elite 8 appearance. Neither has been to the Final Four.
