@Yamiche These attacks are not just personal. They are attempts to undermine credibility, silence necessary questions, and shape whose voices are taken seriously in the press. Misogyny is a press freedom issue.

@Yamiche In December 2025, Trump called Alcindor – the only Black woman visible in the room – “very aggressive.” He previously referred to her as a “second-rate” reporter in September 2025 and called her questions “racist” in 2018 when she asked about the emboldening of white nationalism.

Continuing our spotlight on women journalists targeted by the Trump administration, we are highlighting his long pattern of misogyny toward 2020 Gwen Ifill Awardee @Yamiche, who has covered the White House for NBC News and PBS since his first term.
