Thank you @LibnOfCongress! Rustin is definitely an American every American should know! This book is arguably the best I've read this year. Sad to find that so many of his perspectives resonate with current issues, but I am grateful that his strong voice endures!

Sharing the unsurprising news that the Presidential Records Act (44 U.S.C. Chapter 22) doesn't ask departing presidents "to negotiate" what @USNatArchives collects after they leave office. Records turnover is required!

It’s officially been 100 years since the dedication of the Memorial Gymnasium (now Hansen Student Center). On December 14, 1922, Memorial Gymnasium was dedicated in memory of IWU community members who lost their lives in World War I.

@IL_Wesleyan I see I mistyped the date range on the original tweet. Old Main was built in *1870* but I suppose it would be even spookier if that was 1970 architecture!🤣

#AskAnArchivist What's the spookiest building in your institutional history? Here's @IL_Wesleyan's second one & it served us from 1970-1968. It survived a tornado in 1903! The 1/2 basement was roofed over after a fire destroyed everything else in 1943. See bit.ly/3g1Hzfc
