So what is this about, really?

@Ryu666_VP Looks stunning, glad you had a chance to see it! I was supposed to visit it when I was in Paris last year but didn’t have enough time - planning to catch up when I’ll be there again in May :)

The Musée d’Orsay was absolutely stunning, inside and out. It used to be a train station, and you can still see traces of that history everywhere. It kept making me think Verso would have loved it. Ever since I played E33, I’ve been trying to find the real-life place that might have inspired Monoco’s station, and now I’m starting to think the Musée d’Orsay might actually be it.

@IW_StoryMode If we’re being honest, Death Stranding 2 would have won that category, but some of you seem to have just discovered classical music.

@DanPaul49989437 It is important. But not by changing the meaning of award - because it would be dishonesty, imo. Awards show there was more than just winners through nominees. Getting nomination is huge achievement! And there are multiple big events promoting different types of games too.

@IW_StoryMode Well, but i still think, the diversity of games getting awards is important too. I like seeing as many games as possible getting what they deserve, and Toma Otowa definitely deserved the award. I like seeing 2 young/new composers getting recognized instead of one single

@DarkKnightArya And of course, in the end, it is a matter of taste. But some meters like Spotify stats or how E33 concert tickets sell out literally in seconds tell some truths. Anyway, congratulations to all the winners. It was strong year from gaming and we’ll all benefit from it as gamers.

@DarkKnightArya Nominees are way of giving recognition to the good games, no? Winner should be one that did best work in category. DS2, GoY have good OSTs, but to me nowhere comparable to 10h of E33 music and how it kicks at feelings, retelling story through diverse music and poetical lyrics.

@DanPaul49989437 No. Strong nominees show how many good games there were. One game winning most just shows how good it was. Award should go to game that did best work in category -rewarding 2nd because better one got other awards cheapens the award. GoY OST is good but not level of E33 music.

@IW_StoryMode Just as awards should be - this is the correct approach. This is wrong to give all the awards to one single game. It gives the impression that 'twere no other good games and GoY's been having an outstanding soundtrack too. E33 got GOTY

@Serya_chan That’s fair. People may look for different things in narrative - for me what makes E33 stand out here is not only my personal impression but opinions of people I recommended it too - all seeing it as something unique, and I think it is common opinion. But losing music… no way.

@IW_StoryMode I agree for music. For narrative I'm not sure, I haven't played KCD2 so I cannot give an opinion

Yeah. They put the spotlight on many other great games, allowing them to shine and bringing players' attention to them. No game swept. And I think it's great. Unexpectedly E33 won Best Game ? I was expecting Dispatch or Blue Prince to take this award.

@Serya_chan I agree it „does not need to excel in everything” - but for where it shines and what makes it what it is- it definitely should imo. Some choices today seemed to do everything to overlook E33-especially music, which is widely acclaimed also by non-gamers, and then narrative.

@IW_StoryMode I get what you mean, but imo e33 is a great game because the sumn of everything (design, music, gameplay, narrative) makes it a great, but it doesn't NEED to excel in everything to be recognized as the "best game" of the year. Maybe I'm reaching here, but that's how I see it
