A few days ago I reposted an old Slack redesign I made when I was just starting to learn mobile design. I only posted it again because I was shifting houses and didn’t have time to create something new. At first, I thought it would just be a simple, casual post. Nothing serious — just another design I had done earlier. But then… it suddenly went viral with almost 500k views! And that’s where everything changed. Instead of feedback, what I saw everywhere were jokes, trolling, and hate. People were making posts about how “bad” my design was. And honestly, it hurt so much. I was really upset, and I even felt like crying. For a moment, I actually wondered if I should keep posting my work at all. It felt like the whole internet was against me. But then something unexpected happened. The design community stepped in. Big designers, people I look up to, started defending me.tfx They quoted my post, stood up for me, and even sent me kind DMs. It felt like they became my shield — standing in front of me when I felt the weakest. And for the first time in that moment, I didn’t feel alone anymore. Many people DMed me! Slowly, I didn’t feel sad. Instead, I felt supported, motivated, and proud to keep learning. This whole experience taught me something important. The internet can be cruel, but it can also be full of kindness. I’m just 16, still learning mobile design, but I’ve been doing web design for 2 years. And knowing that the community has my back means everything to me. ❤️ So thank you to everyone who stood up for me. This is just the beginning — and I won’t stop creating 🚀
