I know it's not the prettiest or nicest, but it has it's purposes and it's for a person I hold very dear.
It has 3 uses, a normal spoon to stir a stew, a pseudo-spatula and has a spot to measure and add spices (thanks to a Crack that I had to get out)
Not pretty, but worth it.
@AnthropicDualiT I said the same thing to my Ma when I was really young. I am still hoping she will be there to share the memory with me.. I really am.
"Is ons kind nog veilig" by NWU?, vra BoerPa van Marquard in Die Burger.
Goeie vraag, aangesien die NWU bestuur steeds weier om die "Kill the Boer"-dreunsang te veroordeel wat weer deur die EFF op hulle kampus gesing is.
Yes they are. The tech colleges are woeful. The person/s who start up an trade/artisan college from NQF level 3 upwards, will not only have a great business but will also be building skills so needed. I am a private career counsellor and there are so many wanting to do a trade but nowhere to do this in SA.
My plumber started his internship in 1986, said 120 000 artisans graduated a year in the 80’s. Now, almost none. He’s in his 60’s and said the trades are dying.
Is it weird to say that I would actually really like to do a voice over or be a VA for a game..?
I like to think that my voice can be somewhat unique and could be interesting..
To this day, it saddens me that many people did not learn from my experiences and contact with Afriforum & Orania.
Yes, I'm aware that many of the members and residents of Afriforum & Orania are racist, but the goal was to extract the good and get it to inspire those that need it the most.
Afriforum has amassed over 300,000 monthly paying members & volunteers, who close potholes, have their own security, cut grass, pick up litter, volunteer at schools, patrol the borders & even contributed to building a private skills institution.
I disagree with their politics & many of the cases they take up, but one has to be inspired by the tangible work they do.
Orania was a desert farm and a small group of Afrikaners turned it into a 3000-resident town. They have their own bank, their own voucher currency, their own economy, they've built schools, tertiary institutions and focus on getting the community to do their own labour.
Again, this is meant to inspire you outside of the fact that some of the residents are racist.
I'm saddened that people would rather attack me for spending time with the leadership there, instead of learning from them & implementing in their own communities.
It's clear why many communities & groups are poor, struggling, have poor service delivery & horrid schools around them... they refuse to learn from others, point blame always & attack others who are trying to show them the light.
Most South Africans genuinely deserve the misery they live in because they lack accountability, support useless leaders & bash those who try to get them to uplift themselves.
I hope one day the people who have called me a sellout finally see the value of learning from Afriforum and from Orania. These are 2 brilliant case studies that would fundamentally change the lives of the poor.
To those who got the lessons... shoutout to you. The challenge now is to implement what you've learn vicariously through myself and my experiences.
To the leadership of Afriforum & Orania... outside of your politics - that I don't agree with - please keep building, fighting & pushing for YOUR people. Some of us are learning & inspired.
