🫛🫐From a smallholder plots around Zimbabwe to a supermarket shelf in #Europe — that journey is real, and @kumindafresh is making it happen. This morning, #EU🇪🇺 Ambassador @HagemannKatrin visited the Kuminda Packhouse in Pomona, hosted by CEO and Co-founder @MwaleClarence. Kuminda works with more than 5,000 smallholder farmers — the majority of them women — aggregating, grading and cold-chain exporting mange tout, sugar snap peas and blueberries to the EU and the UK. 🇪🇺 Did you know? Under Zimbabwe's Economic Partnership Agreement (#EPA) with the EU, Zimbabwean mange tout and sugar snap peas enter the EU market completely #dutyfree and #quotafree. That means more value stays here in Zimbabwe. Blueberries — pioneered by smallholder farmers working with Kuminda — arrive on 🇪🇺EU shelves up to three weeks before competitors from Peru and Chile. That is a natural advantage that Zimbabwean farmers are now capitalising on. At @IFE_Event, 17 Kenyan women-led businesses brought avocados, coffee, herbs, nuts, and fresh fruits and vegetables to buyers in the United Kingdom. They are part of a UK-Kenya trade relationship that reached £2.1 billion in the four quarters to the end of Q3 2025, up 9.2% from the year before.
