Kinghorn, Graham and Darge are big losses, but this is still an extremely capable team. Beefy tight five with lots of experience. Ultra-aggressive back-row. Guile, class and wheels across the backline, and plenty dynamism to come off the bench. Enormous curtain-raiser for them.

Can we please give Owen Farrell the respect he now deserves? The greatest to wear an England shirt.

Scrum shifting the game away from England, losing the hit is unacceptable against South Africa. Losing it on crouch bind right now.

@talkMacca Let’s be honest, no-one really cares who comes third and he’ll want to reward the guys who have been good squad men by giving them their moment. Quite right, too.

One last thought tonight: it's going to be very interesting to see what teams England & SA put out next weekend. Do England rotate after the emotional heartbreak; do SA reward those who came on? Selection is such a key factor

This is the flattest Bok performance I've seen in years. No spark, little passion. So many mistakes. Credit to England. Playing tactically excellent rugby. Helped by the poor mistakes from the Boks. No arguments here.

England deserve applause. They were excellent Played tactically the perfect game. They disrupted the Bok rhythm. They were unlucky to lose. At 15-6 they should have put the Boks away. Considering where they were, got to give them so much credit.

Reports of England's demise have been greatly exaggerated. The best team in the Northern Hemisphere and it shows, very clearly, that everything is in rude health in the English domestic game. #ENGvSA

Ugly scenes at the end as @Springboks win 16-15 over @EnglandRugby with massive call by Ben O’Keeffe to award scrum pen which Handre Pollard kicked

Understand from several sources that the US team room is fractured, a split led predominantly by Patrick Cantlay. Cantlay believes players should be paid to participate in the Ryder Cup, and is demonstrating his frustration at not being paid by refusing to wear a team cap.
