Hey @Tesco why are substitutions sometimes so bad?
I ordered Whiskey & Vodka for delivery and you said both are unavailable and no substitution?
So you don't have ANY whiskey or vodka in the whole store!? Now I have to drive to the store, which defeats the point of delivery.

@NerdingonNFL Could we get four London games? Given two at WHL and then Jags bringing two home games to Wembley with stadium renovations

@MartinSLewis Why don't HMRC fix the self assessment calculation? Class 4 NIC when employed & self employed still doesn't correctly calculate according to NIM24175. Every year I have to point out their mistakes.

I believe that fashion is a kind of social language, which is couched in culture. So much depends on what aesthetic language you're operating in. In some aesthetics, a light colored top goes with a dark colored bottom. In others, it's the reverse. Here's a good link to start with:
dieworkwear.com/2022/08/26/how…
So I would always start with thinking first about how you want to dress (e.g., what is the cultural language). Then think about how that specific aesthetic tradition uses color.
However, there are some basic ideas that can help you, as you move through this process.
First, assuming you wear menswear, certain colors will be more versatile than others: blue, white, gray, brown, and sometimes certain certain shades of green. This is especially true when they are muted, such navy instead of bright royal blue. Or olive green instead of apple green. I would start with those as building blocks.
Second, I would consider the color temperature. Certain colors lean cold or warm, depending on their hue. If a certain outfit doesn't feel right, ask yourself if whether you're trying to pair a warm color with a cool color. Swapping something out for a coherently cool colored outfit can do the trick.
Thirdly, assuming your outfit isn't made of pieces that are intentionally designed to be worn together (such as a suit jacket with suit pants), it often helps to get things that distinctly contrast. This is why a navy jacket looks good with pants that are in colors such as mid gray or tan, rather than one shade off from navy. However, contrast doesn't have to come from color alone — it can come from texture or sheen.
Fourthly, if you feel that sticking with basic colors creates an overly basic outfit, remember that you can make things more interesting through silhouette. Or just leaning into an aesthetic direction (e.g., leaning more workwear or tailored). Colors aren't the only ways to play with an outfit or make it more expressive.
You may find these links useful. Sometimes Twitter doesn't organize the links in the way I want, so just know there are four links in this reply.

This year, Haley has taken some of the most difficult cat rescue cases, never giving up on the animals. I'd like to help her enter 2026 with some money for the coming challenges.
If you post a screenshot showing you donated at least $20, I'll answer a style-related question 🧵

@IamNotLuke @ScottFish24 Four live drafts….hindsight will help with the picks.

Umm @ScottFish24 I seem to have been invited again to #SFB15 just now. I'd take a do over though as about to go out of the playoffs 😂
