Worth mentioning that Rangers went 75 league games without conceding a penalty and Hearts, before the very last game of the season, hadn’t conceded a domestic penalty since December 2024, and we have VAR.
However the stats are now starting to look what you would consider ‘normal’

Quite interesting that Keith Jackson touched on the Shankland aggression at the end of the game, but nobody anywhere as far as I’ve seen has commented on this hearts players actions in footage attached.

Hearts player knocking a phone out a fans hand then stamping on it. More unprovoked naked aggression. Fan pushes the Hearts player out the way to try to retrieve his phone. No doubt chalked up as ‘an assault’.
