Well, if this kind of statement came from a foreign CEO, a lot of people here would quickly label it racist. If international tech companies dismissed Nigerian talent as incapable of competing globally, it would be called out as bias without hesitation. So it’s even more concerning when that same mindset is coming from one of our own leading CEOs and we have a lot of people here defending the nonsense.

The way I handle borrowing is simple: I don’t borrow what I can’t afford to forget. I don’t disturb my debtors to pay me back. Once I give you money and you don’t pay me back, I just use that money to chase you away. That’s the last time you’ll get ₦1 from me.

He had the engine to play as deep has he wanted, the physical ability to compete in every area of the pitch, the IQ to get everyone else in play however and whenever he needed, and the composure and hunger to score. No one else should touch the ball as deep, or as frequently as Messi did. No one else is able to do it as well. No attacker who has responsibility to score and/or lead an attack can or should do it. Get your freaking ass off the ball and go to the attacking third, you’re not Messi.
