Well, that's it for me. I'm officially done with being a domestic football supporter. It's not a knee jerk reaction. I've been thinking about this for a while. If you're a big club, you can buy anything and distort the competition to your advantage, however you wish, and it doesn't matter. But if you're outside that elite few, forget it.

An Independent Disciplinary Commission has today expelled Southampton from the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs after the Club admitted to multiple breaches of EFL Regulations related to the unauthorised filming of other Clubs’ training. In addition, the Club has received a four-point deduction that will be applied to the 2026/27 Championship table. The effect of today’s order is that Middlesbrough are reinstated into the 2026 Play-Offs and will proceed to the Play-Off Final against Hull City. Jury voting and public voting are almost never aligned, but some things are stronger than others. For some reason, Armenia modestly reflects their public vote, but Bulgaria is almost completely the opposite. The results at the end of the jury don't really mean much. It's the public vote that wins the contest.

I know there's a debate about whether the semi-finals should be held at Wembley, but for a lot of clubs they've got no chance of getting to the final, so a Wembley trip is always going to be a highlight.

I did OK this year, but it wasn't as good as last year. I was hoping, if I'm honest, to get a little bit more than this, but obviously I'm not going to complain. It was a bit harder to trade this year. The race itself matched almost exactly the same amount as last year by post time, about £6.6m. A good weekend so far!

@betangel I also had trouble getting orders matched, but made a small profit. It would have been much better had Twig won, but I Am Maximus was awesome on the run in!

I am Maximus. Received a lot of late support. It was a strange market. It didn't feel like it wasn't flowing properly, and there was quite a lot of movement, which is unusual for the Grand National. For a fair amount of time, I was pumping loads of orders through and getting absolutely nothing for it.
