i have learned through my job that this is just true. people are always saying "oh the kids just AI generate essays" but its so much worse. the students, the teachers, the principals. they are all using this shit and it makes my life at work so much worse

Much of HS/college now appears to be "ChatGPT writes a paper, professor plugs it into grading ChatGPT wrapper." The grade gets assigned and we all pretend we learned something.
