Relentless hours at Hunley have paid off to an extent with a Radde's Warbler at the north end of the central track. Currently a little on the elusive side.

Yellow-browed warblers galore at Hummersea today with birds seemingly in every bush, even some also on the ground in the long grass. Absolutely fest - really good to see. @teesbirds1 @nybirdnews #birdwatching

I always look forward to Oct like a kid looking forward to Christmas (usually from Jan!). Spent 63 hrs birding Hunley Hall GC during the month. At one point looked like Black Red was going to be the best bird, but what proved to be a Caspian Stonechat made the effort worthwhile.

Eastern Stonechat Hunley Hall GC. View only from top path, strictly no access to fairways. Scope recommended.

650 Redwing south through Hunley Hall GC, 2 Ring Ouzels nr Arches Hotel and Short-eared Owl. I'd like to say the SEO was 'in off', but was flushed from edge of GC and flew out to sea before flying back in again!

One of many patches of Creeping Thistle at Hunley Hall GC covered in nectaring insects during the week. Again, great work by Greg and team for being prepared to let wildlife just do its stuff.

@tom_m_brereton Once fell asleep on a Cornish cliff top only to be woken up by a Raven walking around my head. A little more careful where I fall asleep now.

It's somewhat intimidating on a hot day on your own out alone on the downs when a Red Kite approaches circles over you several times rather close, before realising you are not injured and unlikely to keel over becoming carrion. Here's one peeling off after four loops around me!

Often the success of a #sustainable approach can go unnoticed, even sometimes by ourselves! Great to have @IanKendall12 monitoring the nature onsite. Another example of collaborative success here with the ponds created with @teeswildlife last year #wildlife #Greenkeeping #golf

At least half a dozen Broad-bodied Chasers holding territory on the new ponds at Hunley Hall GC. Good work by Greg and team @Hunley_Greens

After flogging Hunley Hall GC most early mornings without a single new migrant since 23rd May, a relaxed lunchtime walk today and Turtle Dove, Osprey and Wheatear all through west! I give up.

Insane, a Nuthatch has just flown north along the railway line at Hunley and landed in Blackthorn scrub on the cliffs north of the fanhouse.
