At the Launceston Airport waiting to fly back to Melbourne after calling the Christmas Carnivals. It’s time for Xavier Williams a local to take over the calling of cycling events. The Malaysian Team are also ready to leave. Just had a talk with Azim Ailyas a star of the future.

Absolutely blown away so see the name Lancaster riding this weekend at the Ararat Junior Tour in JM 15’s. The young man was Luca Lancaster son of Brett Lancaster (OAM) who also started racing with Shepparton Cycling Club when I was the President, he was also 14yrs of age.

@IanMAHER8 Funny to have the National Madison at a Tassie Xmas carnival when no one even knows it’s on. Should be at Nationals.

@AusCycInsider I remember when I was commentating at the Tour of Tasmania in 2014. Ben as an 18year old finished second behind Wes Sulzberger in a hilly stage that finished in New Norfolk. Ben when I interview him didn’t know who Wes was, and that he had previously rode for World Tour team.
