@johnbarrett2468 Stuart Murdoch (from Belle and Sebastian) organised a refugee benefit a few years ago, around the time of that desperately sad photo of the wee boy on the beach. B&S, Mogwai, Young Fathers and Simple Minds! Fab gig. Yes, that bass line is brilliant.

I bought them both on release.Sparkle in the Rain was first CD i bought,and can still remember the bass of Waterfront. Edges it (joke not intended) over U2.

@IanRae64 @johnbarrett2468 Never properly met him but did bump into him at a gig so I have spoken to him (“sorry”). He is either very tall or Kylie is very small or both. Just checked dates & gig (in Camden) was day after Where the Wild Roses Grow was released so they must have been promoting it nearby
