Played Ancient Box at the Top Deck Hero Cup in Joliette, QC. Started the day off 0-1 due to draw passing against Turbo Moon, brought it back to 3-1, had to play it out, and faced a Lugia going Ultra Ball into double Chops T1. Koraidon > Walking Wake because of Iron Hands in the format, but maybe that’s me thinking too hard. Fezandipiti and Pecharunt were mid, triple Night Stretcher was lit. Idk if I wanna cook more with this deck, or retire it tbh lol R1) Roaring Moon L 0-1 @WelshCanadian1 R2) Raging Bolt W 1-1 R3) Lugia W 2-1 R4) Lugia W 3-1 @BenH_TCG R5) Lugia L 3-2 3-2 is a bit of a bummer, but I made the choice to play an inconsistent deck trying to beat the meta. I still think Ancient Box is a fine choice, but it can be volatile in nature. It’s even more of a bummer knowing I miss a rare double Cup weekend next weekend when I’m in Dallas, come back to a 0 Cup weekend, so I’m outta events for like the next 3 weeks lol. Time to test Stellar Crown to pass the time - I’m really excited about that one!
