Genius of the founders of King’s College Budo monitor.co.ug/uganda/oped/co… The new classroom block recently commissioned (mid March 2026) is named in honor of Kabaka Daudi Chwa II. What remains is something (building or programme) to honor Sir Apollo Kaggwa and Bishop A Tucker.

The history of Budo Junior School is documented at last in this book!

@TimKalyegira ..many of these facilities are defunct, some partially functioning and a number of them, on the way to revival.

My trip to Masaka two weeks ago. The revival of the Masaka Golf Club raised my spirits, as did the efforts by some Galatians to breathe new life into Masaka Sports Club.

@TimKalyegira That said the British put up these facilities for recreational purposes. You may notice that these places were built on a model of sports clubs with golf course, tennis court, squash court, swimming pool, a room darts board, table tennis etc in all major towns in Uganda
