@aherman2006 ... be allowed to find humor in it? He's a showman putting on a show, using materials others won't for fear of their careers. He's never feared that, and it's no different now than when he was a cultural touchstone on ComCentral. Good work, and thanks if u read this.

@aherman2006 ... but he would say he's just broadening his peppering of stereotypes to groups that don't look like him. Why should it be not okay to offend your own groups, but not others? That seems an odd contradiction. Can only people who have lived an experience ...

@aherman2006 ... of course he is. But that, if any, is his social point - when did it become not okay for us to laugh at others' expense? Chappelle Show was that in a nutshell, but because the humor was about blacks & whites, is it different? Renee from S&P would say yes ...

@aherman2006 ... is a bad place to obtain a moral compass. A comedian is a place to go to laugh at things. He's still clever, and I thought S&S found him return more to his charismatic stage presence and presentation than previous specials. Is he saying things that may offend?

@aherman2006 ... I don't think he's trying to be a voice of a generation, or a dyke holding back a sea of change ... he's trying to make people laugh. He's treading on ground and poking at tender spots where others won't. I'm sure he himself would say a comedian...

@aherman2006 ... is different than a lot of media created today and that makes it notable - but that's not what makes it funny. As far as an 'obsession with social issues that speak far more to his personal anxieties than the lived experience of those affected by them' ...
