@51Batman All the comments immediately with hatefest, hatefest - not one of you has ever attended a 12th July celebration, yet, you will attend the Feile where an IRA terrorist gets a standing ovation saying that she murdered her unborn child to enable her to murder protestants. No shame

You have to question why the Council/City don't make a similar effort with the Twelfth July? The Twelfth attracts bigger crowds but no support or effort put in directly from the council in terms of opening spaces for families, drinking etc. Seems sectarian.

Difficult to overstate the transformational effect the Fleadh Cheoil is already having on Belfast: 🔸️Streets for people, not cars 🔸️Main mode of accesa active & public transport (inc free shuttles) 🔸️Vacant buildings & spaces now exciting venues. Inspiration Belfast!

@TirChonaillAbu 1/ no there isnt one in every parish in Ireland. 2/ the Ulster Band movement is not JUST generic marching bands. No similar movement exists anywhere in the world.

There is a marching band in every parish in Ireland. Galway is hosting the '27 world marching band competition. Ye didn't invent it, ye don't own it, and the fact you can't speak of Irish traditional music without belittling it speaks volumes as to the nature of your "culture".

@PurpleStandard 'Irish' trad music has begged stolen and borrowed instruments, melodies and rhythms from all over Europe and beyond. Ulster bands have a greater right to the title- The Ulster Band movement can argue cohesively that it developed exclusively on this island to a much greater extent
