My personal crypto journey 🚀 I am extremely proud to say that a project I have been working on for over 2,5 years has gone LIVE today! I'd love to share a little about the path that led me there⤵️ In 2017 I started investing in crypto, the thought was to speed up paying off my student debt & to help out family with some financial issues. It was a successful choice & within 4 years, I managed to pay off my significant student debt, buy a new car & save up for new & very energy efficient/sustainable house. This was in 2021, the year in which I came across a tech spin-off from Mercedes Benz Group (back then Daimler Group): @BloXmove. After getting in touch, I decided to invest in the pre-sale of bloXmove's $BLXM token. Not knowing that soon after, I would be asked by @HBloxmove to work with bloXmove. I accepted and started in January 2022. I wanted to truly contribute to the blockchain space & was extremely motivated to make this happen. Since February 2022, bloXmove Nigeria - our blockchain based ride hailing solution - was to a large extent my responsibility. As of today, it is THE solution that has gone fully live from @bloXmove. It is THE solution that I put all my energy, blood, sweat & tears in. Of course, all of this together with amazing team members & developers along the road, but I cannot help but feel like @bloxmoveng is partly my baby. It's success as a ride hailing solution is now in the hands of our franchise takers, but we will be there to support & to grow bloXmove's driver & passenger app tech to other regions and countries. Today's achievement makes me proud and happy that we never gave up. People are quick to say a project is 'dead'. Most start-ups fail (90%+) and we are not out of the start-up phase, but we achieved a working product and are now starting to generate revenue. We can't know what the future holds, but what we achieved now at @BloXmove, together with the past lessons we bring along, instills confidence in me. Lessons that I also bring to @KollectAgency, a Web3 marketing agency I co-founded in May this year with @AltCryptoGems & @jayjayboske. Pushing the Franchise Adventure Forward 🙌 A story about obstacles, conquering them & when to expect our go-live! ⤵️ At the end of last week, our franchise taker, Antipas, travelled to #Yola. Yola is the capital city of Adamawa in #Nigeria, where our franchise takers will kick off their bloXmoveNG ride-hailing solution. However, travel proved eventful, to say the least. Floods had taken out the main bridge between Gombe-Yola (independent.ng/breaking-flood…), and as Antipas started his travel to Yola, a bridge he had to pass gave in. Countless of stranded trucks and vehicles later, he arrived at his destination to meet with some of the first drivers! His goal in Yola was to find interested drivers, to aid them with registration requirements, to lay connections with local government officials and to kickstart their marketing plan. His efforts were successful & there's a list of drivers looking to get onboarded! The first numbers will be shared at the go-live. Keep reading to find out when😉👀 Was that all, you think? Well, no. On Monday, the country was hit by a national grid collapse, leading to new travel delays and other issues nationwide: arise.tv/national-grid-… Just as Antipas had to travel back. After bearing these further delays, he finally arrived back at his family yesterday evening. Exhausted, but pleased with the results of his efforts in Yola.
