Bringing up our stable's sixth win since December, CABBUCIO fought hard for victory in the 1400m Maiden Plate at Kembla Grange today. Jean Van Overmeire took the inside run on the 3YO Too Darn Hot filly before the pair found the front and dug deep for victory.

BARRENGARRY is a small village near Kangaroo Valley in the Southern Highlands of NSW. It has a population of just over 200, & might become better known through a young horse named after him, who broke through at @newcastleraces_ Friday. @kemblaraces trainer Joe Ible’s father Darrell hails from Barrengarry, & also shares in the ownership of the 3YO gelding, who overcame difficulties to take the 1600m Prov Maiden at only his 3rd start. Ridden by Zac Lloyd, the $2.15 fav comfortably defeated Newcastle pair Almonzo ($7) & Cool Summer Nights ($7)
