@IlhanNiaz Chapter Five recalls your article in the Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society, which I read some time ago; the contents are highly compelling, and I look forward to engaging with the work with considerable anticipation (and perhaps translating it into Urdu).

I am busy writing my next book, The Pursuit of Order: Understanding Humanity's Most Enduring Illusion, and am done with the introduction/overview and the first chapter (out of eight). The book is a history of a few good ideas and many bad ones and explains how humans have struggled to conceptualize and understand order in relation to everything from the cosmos to society, economy, politics, administration, diplomacy, ecology and artificial intelligence. It is organized as a series of essays (with enough references to make me look smarter than I am) and now that I have gotten going, I hope to finish the manuscript in about a year. This would set it up for a late-2027 or early/mid-2028 publication date. I am starting to look for a publisher and if you are a publisher who wants to know more, or know someone in publishing who might be interested in working with me on this, then please drop me a DM or an email on in1980@qau.edu.pk The Pursuit of Order is geared more towards a general audience but is academically anchored.
