Update in 2nd leg.. A referee pushes a doctor aggressively to leave the pitch.

A lineman held a player from his neck in a very bad manner! Players held referee's hand trying to stop him from booking them! Black image as usual and the existence of VAR make it more and more black.

The #TotalEnergiesCAFCL 1st leg quarters are over and refereeing scandals are still part of it.. at this high level, no big mistake is forgiven ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE IS VAR! We do every possible scandalous act to blacken our football more than it's. This round only..

Honestly games in these knockout rounds can't be played behind closed doors unless it's a serious issue to ban fans.. CAF shall impose more monetary sanctions to stop flares and other chaos instead of closed doors.

@LotfiWada Alhamdulilah that they didn't use the Algerian UEFA Champions League match balls so far.

And we're still playing with the same matchball or worse since 2019...

#CAFCL quarterfinals get underway this evening and we still do not know which city will host the final, by now the host city should known, they should be preparing, tickets should already be on sale, the buzz should be in the streets now of the host city now.

Too much crying in the Egyptian media about laser, booing the national anthem, insulting Salah, flares.. etc. Have you ever criticized the same acts when it was in our favour?! Now the others are against fair play while we the northern were the first to do these acts!

Tunisian fans in the stands chanting. Fabulous indeed. This Rades sound is always as roaring even if it's not full packed! #WCQ2022

@IragiElisha No doubt that North Africans were the first to do all these acts in the continent but what makes me astonished is that Senegalese never were like that.. if it was Kinshasa for example, it wouldn't have been such a surprise.

@Ibrahim3rafa Without any defense for these anti Fair-Play behavior, I think all these "Mind games" comes from North. When subasaharian clubs plays against team from Maghreb, it was and it is, since lats decade, regular to observe lasers pointing on player, GP specially, and booing to them.

I still can't believe the atmosphere in Dakar yesterday. It wasn't Bilida nor Tunis.. booing the national anthem and every Egyptian player. Laser in the eyes of the players.. flares.. Wondering when did they get this ideology! Only the 1st leg game is the reason?

For games of this intense like yesterday, I hope that CAF losers are happy with their flagship knock out games being played in only 2 times without even a pan African broadcaster!
