Jira is probably the worst product in terms of UX that still hasn’t been replaced by a mainstream alternative.

So painful to keep tabs on a bug in the backlog that will never get fixed because it just doesn't matter enough It's worth archiving so it doesn't take up your brainspace anymore But I understand why it’s so hard to do so

"Technical" is a spectrum - just because you’re not at one end, that doesn't mean you're all the way at the other end

You can (and should) look at that backlog with fresh eyes What seemed important enough to add 6 months (or years!) ago now is just... still there Don’t assume it needs to be

tfw you solve all your potential users' problems but they stay "potential" because they don't want to spend 5 minutes trying it out

AI is the how, not the why Users don't care about the how And that means they don't care if you use AI or not They just care if you solve their problems and make their life easier

@IchorousWings Me too. Over the years, I’ve started writing poorly because I depend so much on the keyboard and on textual language. And now with LLMs, I like them but I feel they make me lazier when it comes to expressing and shaping my thoughts exactly the way I want to.

LLMs are making me a worse typer. Before that, autocorrect did some damage to that skill I suppose it doesn't matter because we're headed for a future where we only talk (or think) as input, but still sorta bothers me

Positive feedback doesn’t tell you what to do (even though there’s always something to do) No feedback is horrible (you don’t know what to fix to get a signal) Negative feedback helps you move forward

Need to turn that doubt into actions that improve the situation Why are you doubtful? What needs to happen to turn things around? How can you make that happen? The doubt can be useful, as long as you don’t let it drain your energy.
