Natalka Pucan, BGCDSB Indigenous Consultant and Gayle Mason, Saugeen First Nation Band Council led us in a smudging ceremony of sage to bless the tree and cleanse our souls. Gayle gave a prayer and an offering of tobacco to the earth and led us in the Ojibwe story of Creation.
