@ChowderCNFT @KreatePlatform @hoangdongart95 Typically it isn’t in the traditional market. The expectation is that you’re buying my oil painting, not Irina Alexander’s oil painting. If I copy Monet, everyone still knows they are buying from me, not Monet. The problem is when someone claims it is their hometown if it is not.

Charles Bargue’s Drawing Course is made specifically to be copied. I am open that my painting is based on a detail from Irina Alexander’s oil. But that is unusual.

Yes, it is common for traditional artists to paint their own treatments of pre-existing compositions, just as different jazz and metal bands make covers of pre-existing compositions. What you’ve linked is a kit for gluing rhinestones together to form the composition advertised on Diamond, which again, is its own separate treatment with differences in rendition, perspective, landscape elements, and colour. We will ask Mr Đông to clarify whether this painting is based on a pre-existing composition and to amend the Description if so. We have other traditional Artists operating on our platform who are open about their treatments of master compositions. x.com/identitea_sea/…
