I dream of world peace starting with a strong Japan-US bond. 🕊️ Seeing the smiles of Abe & Trump gave me hope. Let’s build a world where people hold hands and police have nothing to do. 🤝 Together, we can keep our Earth a place to live forever. 🌍 #WorldPeace #JapanUS #Unity

Lately, I’ve been seeing many videos where people take revenge on those who caused harm. While I agree that people who hurt others should face consequences, I find this trend confusing. In Japan, we are educated from a young age to resolve conflicts through dialogue and peaceful means. Seeing these acts of physical or aggressive retaliation in videos from abroad makes me wonder: Why is this so common? Is it based on the "Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" philosophy? I’d love to hear different perspectives on this. #Japan #CulturalDifferences #Ethics #SocialIssues #Dialogue #JapanCulture

I’ve been waiting for someone with the courage to take action like you. To be honest, Japan's current political situation is far from ideal. That’s exactly why it’s so important for each and every citizen to speak up and make their voices heard. Let’s keep working hard together to make a difference! 🇯🇵💪

🇯🇵As a human being, show at least a basic level of respect for the country you live in, work in, receive help from, and build your life in. If you come to Japan, obey Japanese law. Do not trample on Japanese culture and customs. Do not take the safety and daily lives of Japanese people lightly. Do not force your religion or values onto others. This is not discrimination. This is basic human decency. If a Japanese person went overseas and disrespected that country’s laws, culture, and people, they would rightfully be criticized. I do not reject people simply because they are foreigners. But if you come to Japan, respect Japan first. Obey the law. Respect the culture. Do not destroy the safety of local communities. This is not discrimination. It is basic courtesy as a human being living in someone else’s country. #Japan #RespectJapan #RuleOfLaw #PublicSafety #CultureMatters #CommonSense #RespectLocalCulture #ProtectCommunities

Hey everyone! Check this out. One of Japan’s most loved snacks, Calbee Potato Chips, is changing its packaging to black and white! 😮 Because of the tension in the Middle East, there’s a shortage of naphtha (the raw material for the packaging), and they’ve had to simplify the design to save ink. I know the taste is what matters most, but the colorful, exciting bag is such a huge part of the experience! Now it looks like this. What do you all think about this change? 🥔📉 #Japan #Calbee #GlobalEconomy #PotatoChips #MiddleEastTensions #DesignChange

Hello from America! 🇺🇸 I have a question for my Japanese friends 🙋🏻‍♂️🇯🇵 Is it true that everyone takes off their shoes before entering the house? 👟 Even when guests, delivery drivers, or repairmen come inside?

It’s absolutely true! 🇯🇵 In Japan, we distinguish between "outside" (dirty) and "inside" (clean/sacred). This is why Japanese homes have a genkan (entrance) with a step to physically and mentally mark that boundary. Our climate is hot and humid with lots of rain, so keeping shoes on would be uncomfortable and trap moisture. Traditionally, we use delicate materials like tatami and wood, which are easily damaged or stained. On the other hand, many parts of the US are drier, and the use of stone or carpet makes it easier to stay in shoes. The US culture prioritizes efficiency and protection from the cold/mud, but it’s interesting to see that "shoes-off" homes are becoming more common in America now due to hygiene and Japanese influence!

I've come to realize that we shouldn't generalize an entire nation based on what we see in the media. China is home to 1.4 billion individuals, each with their own story. Beyond the sensational news, there is everyday kindness that often goes unnoticed. It's a good reminder to keep an open mind and not let stereotypes dictate how we see the world.🌎🤝🇨🇳 #China #Japan #Humanity #NoStereotypes #MutualUnderstanding #Kindness #GlobalCitizens

I have a question for the foreign nationals who have recently come to Japan, especially those here for work. Why do some of you jump to calling things "discrimination" or prioritize your own ways over local rules so quickly? Everyone has their own reasons for being here—whether it’s for work, tourism, or other opportunities. But what do you truly think of Japan? While it’s true that the Japanese government’s policies on immigration are still developing, what about your own actions? I’m not saying everyone is at fault, but unfortunately, negative behaviors are what stand out online. Through my interactions on this account over the past few days, I’ve started to wonder: What was your original purpose for coming to Japan? Let's respect the country you chose to be in. #Japan #LifeInJapan #ForeignWorkers #CulturalRespect #SocialIssue #MutualUnderstanding #Dialogue

@mindsetmachine courage to take action like this. These days, it feels like young people are way too obsessed with physical appearance. They could really learn a lot from him and his kind heart.

@Grok 이포스트가 사실이야? x.com/i/status/20418…

Good morning to everyone in Japan! ☀️🇯🇵 It’s 9 AM in Japan and 8 PM in America right now, so this is one of the best times for us to connect across the Pacific Ocean 🌊 If you see this, say hi in the comments 😊🙏 I’d love to follow and connect with more Japanese friends!

I appreciate the sentiment, but honestly, I don't think that’s something most Japanese people would want. While many of us, including myself, love America and value the strong, positive relationship between our nations and citizens, becoming the "51st state" is a different matter entirely. I believe the current relationship we share—as two independent, friendly nations supporting each other—is exactly what makes our bond so special and sustainable. I’d love for us to continue being great partners in this way. By the way, I'm curious—what made you think that making Japan the 51st state would be a good idea?

I highly recommend "20th Century Boys"! 🎬 It’s an epic story about a group of childhood friends who wrote a "Prophecy Book" about world domination as a joke. Years later, a mysterious figure uses their immense wealth and connections to make those prophecies come true! Now, the original creators must step up to stop the chaos they unintentionally started. You can watch it on streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, U-NEXT, and Hulu. It's a must-watch!

These are actually the names of companies and individuals who donated the torii gates to the shrine! ⛩️ On the left side of each pillar, you can see their addresses and names. For example, the one in the center says "Heian Construction Industry Co., Ltd." Based in Kyoto. People and businesses donate these gates as a sign of gratitude and a prayer for continued prosperity. It’s amazing to see how many people have contributed over the years!
