As someone who reads and talks with japanese people and rarely watches anime anymore I would like to say no. This is not the issue. The issue is the Jokes that do not fit or the social commentary that is injected in. Or the manga thats rewritten to be a trans story* and not gay. Or the times the translators actively say the story is shit so they made it better. THATS the problem with SOME localizers. Until I hear localizers calling each other out for shitty behavior I will say all localizers are the problem. *keep in mind im nonbinary and a supporter of the left. I think your argument is flawed in as you make a giant assumption about people who are upset. I was upset when the Kobito/Lover/Girlfriend drama happened with Yuri On Ice. The fact that this was so poorly adapted due the assumption all men are straight. It was ambiguous on purpose. Now this may have been fixed but this is still a problem. Context lost because the localizers do not care to look at extenuating context.

@Sbubby_s coming from someone who frequently has to translate things between languages, you realize very quickly that 100% accurate direct translation is terrible if you want it to sound natural. weebs want subtitles to make them feel like they speak japanese

If you really think this is the problem we are talking about when we complain about shitty translations you are wrong. What were talking about is inserting popculture references or political nonsense when their is none or translating stuff where it can technically look correct but its not. There is one thing I must clarify. While I do want more to get into Digimon, I want those getting into Digimon to love it for what it is, and not try to demand changes to make it like things you are more familiar with. There are things that must remain, please repsect that.

I agree and disagree. I feel the issue is less the actual wording and more the context. Like saying BF, or GF and translating it into lover understandable have a great day. Translating that reverse is bad unless told to by the creators of the series. Subtext in Japanese specially fandom subtext is often lost l. Not to mention there are terrible adaptators in the industry and I will call the out when I see them.

Once you actually speak Japanese you realize most translations are actually alright, you just nitpick because you don’t know enough nuance and translate every words literally

For smaller & newer VTubers, there are a lot of small things you have to learn that just take time. Here's a list of a few tips that I think are generally applicable to pretty much every small VTuber who wants to grow.

My only person gripe other than P2W possibilities is that in DDFF that the censorship when it comes to people talking with one another. Like have is censored cause of av why is AV censored. Also hello is censored. Like what! At least have some exception for the most used words!
