When the national anthem was over, you could hear Carla share our favorite words at a baseball game - "Play Ball!". ️That's baseball diplomacy for you In her opening remarks, Carla highlighted how this grass-roots initiative celebrates the 60th Anniversary of US-Kenya relations.

We were thrilled to have Acting US Deputy Ambassador Carla Benini join us at the Nairobi Field of Dreams this past Sunday! She toured the @DiscoverJKUAT based facility, met with staff and leadership, connected with the Nairobi Baseball Community,

The final game of the day was a slow-pitch softball match between Stars and Shujaaz. Your favorite Arbantone artists, along with other dignitaries, hit the field to experience the thrill of the game firsthand. Everyone had a chance to bat, field, and soak in the excitement.

The game’s decisive moment came with a man on third, two outs, and the batter in the box. The play of the season was made by Samurai's shortstop, Oscar, who secured the winning out.

The second game, which was the final, featured the Nairobi Wreckers against the Samurai team. In an intense showdown, the Wreckers staged an epic comeback in the last inning, closing the gap from 6-2 to 6-5. However their efforts fell short. Congratulations to the Samurai Team!

The Nairobi Baseball Championship, Sunday’s games, kicked off with the 3rd place playoff between Nairobi Buffaloes and JKUAT Generals. It was a close match, with Nairobi Buffaloes securing 3rd place in the Nairobi Baseball League after a 6-5 win over JKUAT Generals.

Today we remember the caring and giving spirit of Roberto Clemente, one of the greatest and most revered players in the history of our game. #ClementeDay
