The Black Opinion@opinion_black

Call this out for what it is: We have all witnessed the quite disturbing scenes of predominantly black school aged children behaving appallingly in Clapham yesterday. There is a combination of factors as to why this took place and I am going to point them out without fear or favour. 1. Parents. This is your failure. The children are an extension of you. You have abdicated responsibility & chose to be ‘friends’ with your children instead of being the architects of authority, discipline & boundary setting. Instead you are weak and your children know you are, thus diluting any respect that they would naturally have for you. 2. Schools. When people like Katharine Birbalsingh & her elite teachers speak about standards, discipline and teaching children in a ‘no excuses environment’ many of you turn your noses up. However, do you really believe that children who attend her school ‘Michaela’ would behave this way in public? Neither do I. Schools and how they operate are a barometer of where this country will be in the near future. This alone should be ringing alarm bells but unfortunately it is not. 3. Parliament. Those that are legislators in this country are way out of sync with what is required to churn out functioning useful youngsters in this society. With Labour MPs seeking to legalise voting for those aged 16+ I am only surprised that they were not in Clapham giving out flyers telling these youngsters that they are only robbing shops because of ‘white people and slavery’. Vote Labour! 4. Police The police were totally useless yesterday. The police on the ground? No. Their bosses? Yes. Scotland Yard and Chief Superintendents are mostly now chosen for their senior roles based on politics, sexuality and wokeness. At least 100 youngsters should have been arrested, publicised widely, hurried through the system and severely punished. A clear message needed to be sent. It wasn’t. This is why it will now be a continual occurrence. 5. Social Media. 99% of these ‘link ups’ are organised via social media platforms. These companies must be subject to criminal injunctions when their platforms are used to promote chaos. Further, if found guilty then the penalties should include eye watering fines and three year imprisonment for their managing directors. Lastly, the age to use Social Media should rise to 18 years. Conclusion. Many of the youngsters will claim they were ‘just having a laugh’. That may well be true. Families who were locked in the stores or staff working in those stores would surely disagree. That behaviour was disgusting and you parents should point that out. There is a time coming where some of these parents should be criminally liable for their actions of their bloody children. We are blessed to be in a country like this despite its many faults. We also have many opportunities and are frittering them away. Do better and stop the damn excuses. Control your children.

@IfaladeO @Ahmad_Dankwano @Legend_Grin @Accoid @Nazahhk How many times their host have murdered them? People drove in to a particular area and spread bullets that killed people from both religion, next thing they started tagging Muslims while some of the casualties were Muslims too.

The reason I didn’t comment on the Jos crisis earlier was because I was waiting for accounts from residents or eyewitnesses. How is the Jos crisis being labeled a religious conflict? In Kano and other northern states with more Muslims than Christians, Muslims are not overrunning Christians, so why Jos? Let’s address this for what it is: insecurity. The government has failed in its responsibility to protect us. May the souls of the deceased rest in peace.

You can go as far back as possible, America has been at the center of terrorism in Nigeria from the very beginning. The Gumi you people call for arrest daily, I hope you know that the same America you are asking to arrest him was aware of his father (whom he succeeded) as far back as the 1970s, and even admitted in a now declassified CIA report that it was sponsoring him through its ally, Saudi Arabia. If you refuse to have to have sense, your children will continue from where you left off, asking the same stupid questions.

@alnur1313 @Ahmad_Dankwano @Legend_Grin @Accoid @Nazahhk Dated to their 20th century immigration to the area due to colonial mining operations, that's still a settler by Nigerian standards. The Plateau belongs to the Beroms,Afizere,Anagutas,Angas, Taroks who are indigenous there,Hausas have their own cities like Kano,Sokoto,Katsina...

@alnur1313 @Ahmad_Dankwano @Legend_Grin @Accoid @Nazahhk Which city/town founded by the Hausa or which they are indigenous to is close to Jos? If their presence in Jos is tied to a colonial settlement from the 20th century, are you saying the area didn't have its own indigenous population which have always inhabited the area?

VIRAL COMMENT OF A YOUTH LEADER ON RUKUBA COMMUNITY UNPROVOKED ATTACK, FALSE AND MISLEADING The attention of Headquarters Joint Task Force Operation ENDURING PEACE has been drawn to a false comment by one of the youth leaders of Angwan Rukuba Community, circulating on various social media platforms, alleging that troops provided cover for the perpetrators of Palm Sunday unprovoked attack at Angwan Rukuba Community in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State. Ordinarily, the reply to the comment made by the youth leader would not have been necessary, especially in this moment of grief, but for the purpose of clarity and the benefit of well meaning Nigerians it is expedient to state unequivocally that at no point did troops provide any form of cover for the terrorists elements who carried out the unfortunate attack that claimed the lives of innocent citizens. Rather, troops on receiving a distress call on the unfortunate incident swiftly mobilised to the scene, which was far away from where they were deployed and observed that the attackers had fled. Troops acted professionally to avert what could have spiraled to endless bloodshed and pursued the fleeing criminals as can be attested to, by so many survivors who were at the scene of the attack. Specifically, 4 Guntrucks mounted by troops were despatched to the incident scene and they acted professionally on arrival as confirmed by other security agencies, as well as eye witnesses at the scene of the attack. Nonetheless, the allegation was promptly investigated and confirmed to be false. The comment by the youth leader is false, misleading and unfortunate, capable of demoralizing troops and causing disaffection between the Military and its host community. The public is requested to discountenance the comment, remain calm, law abiding and continue to support troops with credible and actionable information on terrorists activities. Troops in conjunction with other security agencies have adopted effective strategies to unravel and apprehend the perpetrators of the dastardly act. Troops will continue to deal decisively with criminals while maintaining peace in every part of Plateau State. @lauriewhitwell @JamesHorncastle @AdamCrafton_ Sandro Tonali leading Italy to their first World Cup in 12 years would be the perfect redemption arc. After everything he went through, carrying a nation's hopes on his shoulders in a winner-take-all playoff is the kind of story football was made for. Tonight defines his legacy.

@IfaladeO @oneandonlybison @Big_Mck So, you mean if radicalized terrorists did not receive fundings, used as a tool, the blood sucking empires using them wouldn't find another way?, have you ever set your brain down and think why do people have to die, or you're just blaming it on Muslims want to kill for virgins?

🚨 Manchester United average starting distance when pressing has fallen from 43.1m to 41.8m. Amorim’s 43.1m would make United the fourth-highest press in the Premier League behind Arsenal, City and Brighton & Hove Albion across the whole season. Carrick’s 41.8m would be mid-table by comparison. [@TheAthleticFC]
