I'm not even perturbed by this, but if this was to be from an Igbo person making this proposition. There will be a protest, tension flaring up, with Newspaper Headlines screaming Igbo Domination. When Air Peace adopted Isiagu for their Air Hostess, these same people were all over the place cursing and threatening their papa.

@temid4yo You already nailed one of the factors. Feminist struggles across several cultures are different. You inherit for instance and they do not; I'm assuming you're yoruba. That is just one tiny example.

i believe feminism should be a baseline for every woman, but i’ve observed that nigerian igbo women tend to be especially vocal about feminist discourse online. i wonder what cultural, historical, or social factors contribute to that pattern or why aren’t others as vocal about it

Dishonest, disrespectful, tone deaf, disgusting. How do you guys not find this thing you propagate about Lagos very disrespectful to its indigenes, especially as an outsider?
DejiChukwuNonsoAnubi@DejiAnubi

@EuginhoCortez Unlikely. Lagos is not strictly a Yoruba state. Voting strictly on ethnic lines in Lagos will not work. The numbers are simply not there. I for one will never support a pro yoruba party. This is 2026 Lagos.

@Ifedabozz @NigeriaStories Yes their money but we are their customers. BBN invests nothing back to Nigeria, they take all their money back to South Africa. Encouraging education is a greater cause

Fuji Garbage 1988 was not just an album. It was a statement. Barrister walked into the studio and redefined what Fuji could sound like. The energy, the percussion, the goated dance moves in the video 🤣. Pure Yoruba excellence on full display. That album has not aged.

He will die peacefully on his bed in his old age, at his own room, surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and some of his spiritual children. Can't say the same for you when terrorist come for you to cut off your head the way you deserve it.

@NigeriaStories Only ₦5 million from a whole multi-million naira company? Rite Foods should be ashamed of themselves. They give Big Brother housemates ₦100 million for doing nothing, but give the smartest kid peanuts. They are literally insulting his intelligence.

From John Gunther’s Nigeria: “For their national dress, Nigerians have adopted the traditional costume of two of their major groups, the Yoruba and the Hausa.” “Most distinctive are the Yoruba, whose rich robes… and tall head-ties make a group of them look like birds of paradise.” An independent historical source recognized the gele as a distinctive hallmark of Yorùbá women decades ago. Yorùbá l’óní gele. Case closed.
Miss B🫦@Lewa_Forbes_

“Perhaps 4 million of the 50 million Nigerians live in towns. The population of Lagos, officially (and, in this instance, plausibly) estimated at 700,000 in the 1963 census, had more than doubled in the previous decade. The townward drift, so familiar a pattern in developing countries, has been less marked among the Yoruba of the West because they have, for more than a century, been an urbanised people. Of eleven Nigerian towns with more than 200,000 in-habitants, eight are Yoruba towns.”w Would you look at that?!!!!

I have seen the history of IGBEDE long time ago and relayed it some years back, but you see these we came from Ile-Ife urchins, were crying over the post back then and telling people it was all lies. But today, you won't see them come around to defend this public notice.
