what can break this deadly cycle?😭 In the Arctic Svalbard melting sea ice forces hundreds of walruses onto land. They climb steep cliffs (>8m) every morning to sunbathe, but polar bears chase them, causing mass panic. Many tumble to their deaths on the rocks below , about 200 deaths every 2 days.

WHY WOULD A GORILLA CHARGE, PUSH, OR SLAP A HUMAN? 🦍 Gorillas are naturally calm animals and rarely attack without a reason. In most cases, their actions are a warning caused by human behavior that makes them feel threatened or uncomfortable. Getting too close, making sudden movements, loud noises, direct eye contact, or ignoring trekking instructions can stress a gorilla — especially a silverback protecting its group. A push, slap, or charge is usually meant to create space, not to hunt or seriously harm people. That’s why gorilla trekking rules are important: ✔ Keep a safe distance ✔ Stay calm and quiet ✔ Never touch gorillas ✔ Follow your ranger’s guidance Respect wildlife, and peaceful moments become possible. 🦍
