The study showcased bottom-up Self-Help Group (SHG)-led interventions in 10 Ri Bhoi district villages, reaching 634 participants. It boosted cancer awareness, reduced stigma, promoted breast self-exams and ignited tobacco cessation through community-driven events.

The BPH students created expressive posters and performed a creative skit based on them, while the MPH students led a poetry and essay reading, delivered an insightful presentation and showcased a mental health video acted by their peers.

On World Teen Mental Wellness Day observed annually on March 2 to raise awareness about adolescent mental health and break the stigma around it, the BPH 4th Semester and MPH 2nd Semester students of IIPH Shillong marked the day with meaningful in-class activities.
