@KToptions @GRHellasGR @noraleonora94 I would like to refer to this greek academic reference which depicts the words of Adamantios Korais advising the Souliote to teach their kids to speak "Ελληνικά". Their mother's tongue was Arvanitika which is purely Albanian. So the bilingual claim needs to stop at some point.

@an8rwpos01 Let's suppose that we agree with what you say. So what does the below phrase mean in "greek" at the beginning of the passage?

When Athens Spoke Albanian: A Rare Curse from 1837 🇦🇱📜💣 Kur Athina fliste Shqip: Një "Mallkim" i rrallë i vitit 1837 (Shqip në fund) This document you are seeing is not Greek, although it is written in the Greek alphabet. It is Arbërisht – the Albanian language spoken by the inhabitants of Athens and its surroundings in the 19th century. This material is an Excommunication (Aforismos) or letter of curse, issued by the Metropolis of Athens on July 8, 1837. It was published by Mid’hat Frashëri (Lumo Skëndo) in the journal "Diturija", Vol. II, No. 3, January 1927. Why is this document unique? Linguistic Evidence: It proves that in 1837, Albanian was the dominant language in Athens, so much so that the Church was forced to use it for official announcements. The Scandal of the Time: The curse is directed at an official (upállilo) who had married his sister-in-law, an act the church considered incestuous. The Alphabet: It is an excellent example of Albanian written in Greek characters before the unification of our Latin alphabet. (Because an official of Armanspergut... took with love the sister of his wife...) A national treasure that shows our deep roots in the heart of Greece!

@YourThirdWish @alblangisthekey If you are not an arvanite there is no way you would understand the "meaning" of this text. You may pick a few connecting words or ecclesiastical terms but the rest of them written for the Epirotes and not Greek speaking people. So please cut the bs. What does ντι μοτρα mean?🤥

@alblangisthekey The document we are seeing is written a Greek dialect. I speak Greek as a native language and I understood the text. I miss only few words. You count on the fact that Greek is a difficult language as a foreign one to deceive non-Greeks.

@ChatzichristosN @EpiroteReport @newagepol That doesnt make sense. Dardanians were Illyrians. And Albanians = Shqiptar is just a translation from English to Albanian. What are you? Epirote? Macedonian? Spartan? Corinthian? Mycenaean? Athenians? Make your mind as they fought each other frequently :)

The “Graikoi” were Illyrians, not Hellenes. The Romans met Graikoi (#Illyrian mountaineers) first, tagged that name on all Greek tribes: Danaans, Achaeans, Dorians etc. An Inherited ethnonym from the very people you now deny. Illyrian/#Albanian roots run deeper than myths.

Henry Baerlein (British writer, 1920s) “The Albanians are a perpetual riddle — half hero, half brigand.” Italian Diplomatic Note (1914) “These people are impossible to control. They obey no authority but their clan.” Bishop Fan Noli reported this quote (early 1900s) “Albania is ungovernable. Even the Sultan’s men fear the mountains.” Lord Fitzmaurice (British delegate, 1913 London Conference) “Of all the Balkan peoples, the Albanians are the most volatile and the least predictable.”

@HoytVan @IllyrianLad Who is we more malaka ? Fake Batrioti. You need a discount in the grocery stores. Leave the fairytales on the side. You have bigger problems than a few Albanians celebrating their National Day. But then again you have no brain to see the big picture here 🥴
