Research was once conducted, it showed that Igbo was becoming a dying language, and in future it might go into extinction due to factors like lack of inter generational transmission and most young parents failing to make it the first language for their children. After this, a period of revitalization and reawakening followed, the younger generations of Igbo people took it personal and started solidifying the culture and language. The Igbo language can not die, it is an intentional effort we must collectively make to ensure that it stays strong among the upcoming generations and continues to travel
