'Just believe in yourself' is sh*t advice. If everyone could flip a switch and 'JuSt bElieeeVe bro', we'd all be billionaires. There's a million reasons why someone might not believe in themselves. But the key is action first, not belief. Action = collecting evidence that you are THAT person. Break it down into the smallest action... Take the first step. Push your comfort zone each time and keep stacking the small wins. Then you don't need belief, you have evidence.

A brand is built on trust. No trust = No collaboration = No sales. But it takes time. You need to give your audience consistent positive experiences. • Valuable insights • Actionable advice • Relatable content Once your brand is trusted it will work for you.

Context is everything. When you're presenting design work ALWAYS use mockups. It's not your client's job to use their imagination... It's your job to take the guess-work away.

Being an introvert isn't an excuse to not network. You're in a space surrounded by them and they'd be your ideal customers and friends. Embrace it and use it to your advantage.

@JaffaBranding Solid advice there. People practice design rather than just finishing a project that has real utility and rapidly increases your learning.

Instead of doing a passion project: Pick somebody on Twitter you look up to and design for them. If they notice it, allow them to have it for free in exchange for a testimonial. Use the testimonial as an outreaching tool to land more clients. No need to overcomplicate this.

@Phil_W_UK Nice video Phil. I like that you made the distinction between value and money. I think working for no money is a good way to get your foot in the door as long as you're getting those testimonials/case studies!

@RobRan6116 I think for a lot of people more income is a means to get to those things as it 'grants you more freedom'. But it's easily to get lost along the way.

This question rocked my world. Would you be willing to go down a path that leads to inner peace, joy, happiness and love but your income never goes up? I bet it'll rock yours too. Let me know what you think.

How many red cars did you see this morning? Don't know?... What if now I gave you $10 dollars for everyone you saw. I reckon you'd be able to tell me tomorrow. This is 'red car theory'. It means you won't find what you aren't looking for. You can apply it to almost anything: List what your grateful for daily → Start seeing more good in your life. Write stories daily → Start finding more story-worthy moments. Learn how to capture attention → Notice what captures yours. Use this simple principle and you can reframe the way you see the world.

@IAmAaronWill It was honestly a relief getting to the paragraphed bit. Agree with short (complete) sentences and white space... but splitting sentences for the sake of formatting does more harm than good and makes you sound mental. (In my opinion)

Tweeting like this makes reading it much easier instead of tweeting like this which actually puts people off reading it because no mf wants to read something that looks like it'll take an hour to comprehend. So start splitting your sentences like this
