I honestly wish religion had never existed. Imagine how far we would be as a species if humanity consistently pursued evidence-based, rational answers instead of constructing narratives around imagined deities.

If atheists thought critically about their hatred for religion they’d realize it makes no sense. Even on their own worldview, religious belief should be a useful function for survival, just like our desire for sex. If nearly everyone in the world is religious, why would you think this is a bad or harmful way to be? Religious belief would be the ONLY thing that humans evolved that has no useful function for survival, that should be totally implausible on an atheistic evolutionary worldview. Now, some atheists might say it WAS useful but now it isn’t. How on earth would you know if it’s useful or not? Especially when the birth rates of secular countries is rapidly declining and secular people are more likely to be depressed, commit suicide, etc. It really doesn’t seem like secularism is leading to greater human flourishing, unless you think flourishing = extinction.

Think about it.. your IQ has to be pretty low to be convinced there’s a magic being in the sky that will torture you for all eternity if you touch your naughty bits. And ironically it also needs your money.

This is ridiculous. The Almighty God of Christianity, created a world in which human beings had to suffer...for what. He could've just created a world in which people don't have to suffer, he's going to do the anyway. He's capable of doing it. Which begs the question....why then did he create the world like this in the first place?

If Christianity isn’t true, suffering is pointless.
