Do you think Oda had already planned Haki concept from the start? In 2002, Blackbeard implied Luffy’s Haki was way too strong for a 30 million bounty, but Viz official translation misread and skipped the word Haki.😭 This chapter is the first time Haki ever shows up in the series

Luffy’s bounty was just 30 million, too low for someone with such powerful *Haki*, so Blackbeard thought Luffy was lying. Luffy didn’t realize that BB genuinely respected him, and instead took it as an insult. That emotional misreading between the two is quite beautiful.🧡
