@taranfight @silentwisperer_ I guess but being able to set spawn somewhere and still skip the night while out adventuring without it moving your spawn, that’s honestly quite a powerful tool, so making it cheaper than 3 hay bales just isn’t a good idea.

Grian has confirmed that a new STRAW BED item coming to minecrafts next update! A one time use sleeping bag that lets you skip the night, without resetting your spawn point!
Current recipe is 3 hay bales, hopefully it gets made cheaper! Its still in EARLY development! #minecraft

i like the baby mob textures but i am a bit bummed we had to spend a whole drop on them + nothing else. like even just a new block family or two or a new mob could have made it so much more exciting.

I think Minecraft drops allow mojang to focus heavily on odd bits of the game that probably wouldn't have been the focus of an entire update.
BUT it also means more and more areas of the game feel "neglected" - did you know there was not a single full block added in 2025?

@Simon_Hypixel Increase mob spawns at night, I had to walk across hundreds of blocks to find some void mobs and only a few spawned, the night needs more danger
